Synopsis

The young girl Nella loves to play football. So much so that she dreams of becoming the best player in the world. And the fact that she has diabetes? Not a problem at all!

Sweet Life observes the tireless efforts of her whole family - spearheaded by her mom Alina - to make Nella’s life seem as normal as possible. For Nella this can be puzzling: sure, she has a health condition, but why does everything need to be so complicated?

By getting Nella a new glucose reader on her arm, Alina hopes that everybody’s life will get a little bit easier. But in doing so, she raises questions about motherhood, growing up and letting go.
