Synopsis

At the end of the summer-break, a thirteen year old Scottish boy prepares to leave his close-knit group of friends and family to go to boarding school. He lives on a small island called Muck, and leaving is part of growing up for the kids of the island. During his last 10 days on the island, between swimming, shooting pigeons and catching lobsters, the day of his departure creeps up slowly. When he is invited to join the adults for a hunting trip, the boy needs to rethink his position on the island and in his group of friends.
