The Project
This project was a complete cross-media video strategy. The makeup brand was trying to find their way into the digital media world. Through short, well-produced makeup videos, Maybelline reached a large number of young girls and regained their self-confidence. This was a result of the incorporation of beauty tutorials (that taught girls how to apply makeup in a way that would enhance their natural beauty), rather than the videos being solely focused on Maybelline’s products.
Results
The campaign was so successful that Maybelline decided to quit all of their traditional broadcast television commercials, and focus solely on digital campaigns. Every video received over 250k views and a lot of positive feedback from the young audiences.
